Jake Hill is an associate director with the GeoStrategy Initiative in the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. In this role, he supports the strategy and resilience portfolios.
Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Hill had a fellowship on Capitol Hill writing speeches and overseeing the national defense, judiciary, and veterans affairs portfolios for an Ohio congressman. After high school, Hill joined the Unites States Marine Corps. In Afghanistan, he was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart, and NATO Meritorious Service Medal for valor. Hill graduated from Columbia University magna cum laude with a BA in classical studies. He also graduated from Georgetown University Law Center and is a licensed attorney in the state of South Dakota.
