
Jennifer Thibodeau

Jennifer Thibodeau is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow at the Atlantic Council and serves as head of US frontier policy at Google DeepMind, where she leads the company’s engagement on US public policy related to frontier AI. Her career spans the US government and leading technology companies, including the US Department of Defense, DJI, AWS, Checkr, Wiz, and Google DeepMind. At the intersection of emerging technology, national security, and geopolitics, she has led policy initiatives across more than thirty countries, managed a bipartisan infrastructure portfolio exceeding $10 billion, and helped translate complex technical advances into practical governance approaches. Her experience includes advancing collaboration between governments and the private sector on issues ranging from geopolitics and cybersecurity to digital sovereignty and critical infrastructure resilience. Thibodeau believes that technological leadership depends on strong institutions, trusted partnerships, and durable governance. She is particularly interested in how governments can harness frontier AI to strengthen innovation and the public interest. She holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University and The George Washington University and is fluent in English and French.
