Mini Kouamé

Mini Kouamé is a 2026–2027 Millennium fellow, quantitative investment professional, and founder of Transat Management Company (TMC), a Boston-based investment platform mobilizing institutional capital between Africa and North America. He previously served as an investment officer and quantitative researcher at the Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board, where he contributed to asset allocation, private markets, and innovation initiatives for one of the largest public pension funds in the US. He also tutored quantitative investment management at MIT Sloan. Born and raised in Yopougon, Côte d’Ivoire, Kouamé holds a master of public administration in international development from Harvard University, a master’s in finance from ESCP Europe, and an engineering degree in statistics and economics from ENSEA Abidjan. He remains deeply committed to expanding educational and career opportunities in finance across Africa, including leading the MIT Global Teaching Labs Mathematics Olympiad trainings in West Africa. Through TMC, Kouamé is advancing the “Temasek Effect for Africa,” a framework designed to strengthen the role of African pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, and reserve managers in global capital markets. He is also leading the launch of Long-Term Institutional Investors on Africa, a Boston-based nonprofit that convenes academics and senior investment leaders from Africa and North America to build the research, narrative, and relationships needed to position Africa as a recognized institutional asset class. His work focuses on harnessing emerging geoeconomic shifts to create long-term pathways for capital formation, economic transformation, and stronger Africa–North America partnerships. Outside of finance, Kouamé has completed four marathons and summited both Mont Blanc and Kilimanjaro.
