Mrugank Bhusari was associate director at the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center. He conducted research and convenings focused on trade, the international role of the dollar, and multilateral institutions. He also managed the Center’s Dollar Dominance Monitor and the Bretton Woods 2.0 Project.
Bhusari’s commentary on these issues has appeared in US and international outlets including CNN, Washington Post, Financial Times, Munich Security Conference, and the Congressional Research Service.
Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Bhusari worked in the President’s Office at the International Rescue Committee. He also conducted research at the Bangladesh Institute of Peace and Security Studies and served as a Research Assistant at the University of Chicago Economics Department.
Mrugank holds a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Quantitative Economics and International Relations, graduating with summa cum laude honors. He is also an alum of United World College (UWC). He was raised in Mumbai, India.
