Osamah Al Rawhani is a nonresident senior fellow with the Scowcroft Middle East Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs. He is an expert in Yemeni politics, peacebuilding, and political economy.
Al Rahwani currently serves as the executive director for policy and partnerships at the Sana’a Center for Strategic Studies.
With over fifteen years of experience in peace and conflict resolution, Al Rawhani has been deeply involved in peacebuilding efforts across the country. He currently spearheads several track two initiatives that support an inclusive Yemeni dialogue, bringing together tribal and local leaders and economic actors from across Yemen. Al Rahwani has been dedicated to advancing community empowerment and civic participation in Yemen.
Al Rawhani is a frequent commentator on Yemeni affairs in both Arabic and English media.
