Sebastian Burduja is a civic, political, and business entrepreneur. He is the Founding President of PACT for Romania, a civic and political movement for freedom, citizen engagement, and rule of law. He also serves as the Managing Partner of RISE Consortium, a global network providing expert investment solutions and integrated advisory services for international companies seeking to invest in Romania. Previously, he served as a Regional Development Specialist for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., focusing on Europe and Central Asia. Previously, he has worked for Dalberg Global Development Advisors, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, McKinsey & Co., and the National Endowment for Democracy. He is the Founding President of the League of Romanian Students Abroad (LSRS), now the largest Romanian non-profit network in the world, and the co-founder of the CAESAR Foundation, a think tank connecting 500 top policy experts in Romania and globally. He is currently a PhD Fellow at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, focusing his research on combating private corruption. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Politics from Stanford University.
