Rep. David Reichert signaled today that an effort is underway to counter sentiment among some Republican members that passing trade promotion authority legislation is ceding lawmakers’ constitutional authority over trade matters.
“There’s a lot of turnover every two years in the House of Representatives, so the education process has to continue every election cycle,” the Washington Republican said at an Atlantic Council trade event.
