After five years of talks, negotiators of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) achieved in Atlanta earlier this month what many thought would be the impossible: a deal. TPP still faces a long road ahead in Congress but the agreement is one step closer to reality.  

The Trade Promotion Authority that passed earlier this summer lays out a clear timeline for how the administration and Congress must move forward in presenting the text, and it ensures an up-or-down vote in Congress for final approval.
