Please join the Atlantic Council, in partnership with GLIFAA, a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT)+ employee organization for foreign affairs agencies, on March 14 at 5:30 p.m. for an interactive discussion on diplomatic leadership in promoting a more just, open, and accepting world. A networking reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a keynote address from Special Envoy Randy Berry and a panel discussion with LGBT leaders in diplomacy from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. 

Across the world, LGBT people are experiencing unprecedented advances as well as severe backlashes to their rights.  Foreign affairs professionals know firsthand the challenges of promoting human rights of LGBT persons abroad and the important role LGBT leaders can play. Come hear their forecasts for the challenges ahead and discuss their strategies for pursuing equality as a personal, national, and international priority.
