Tim van den Bergh is a 2025 participant in the European Leadership Accelerator hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Millennium Leadership Program. He currently serves as the climate tech innovation lead at the World Economic Forum (WEF), where he drives global initiatives to unite innovators, industry leaders, and policymakers in accelerating technology solutions for the green transition. Previously, as the data and artificial intelligence (AI) acting lead at the WEF’s Global AI Action Alliance, he spearheaded public-private partnerships to ensure AI benefits both people and the planet, leading efforts in AI for wildfire prevention and technology-driven climate adaptation. Prior to that, he worked on emerging technologies for sustainable development, collaborating with governments and leading technology companies to harness digital solutions for global progress. His career spans international development, management consulting, the Dutch foreign service, and renewable energy, with a strong focus on leveraging technology for sustainability and policy impact in global markets.
