Cynthia Bernstein

Cynthia Bernstein is a 2026–27 Millennium fellow who serves as a program director at Spencer Stuart International, where she drives key enterprise-wide initiatives that reach across commercial capabilities. Bernstein served in the White House as special assistant to President Joe Biden and director of management and administration in the office of Vice President Kamala Harris. She also served as director of administration in the office of then-Vice President Biden. In both these roles, Bernstein advised senior leadership and led critical operational functions across the office. She has also managed large-scale strategy projects at Deloitte Consulting’s Government and Public Services practice. As an adjunct professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and Yeshiva University, Bernstein taught and designed courses on leadership, ethics, decision making, political science, and international relations. She holds a master of arts in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where she received leadership and human rights fellowships.
