Egypt’s Uprising: The Impact of Three Years on a Photojournalist [Video]

Three years after a popular uprising ousted Hosni Mubarak, as Egypt witnesses a volatile transitional period, EgyptSource looks at how these events have affected individual Egyptians.

Ahmed Abdel Fattah, a photojournalist working for Egyptian private daily Al-Masry al-Youm hails from a Muslim Brotherhood family, while his mother was a parliamentary candidate during the 2010 parliamentary elections. Prior to the 2011 uprising, Abdel Fattah abandoned the Brotherhood. Covering clashes between protesters and security forces, Abdel Fattah came close to losing an eye.
