From South Wales Argus: David Cameron said that a summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation is to meet at the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport next year.
He had announced that Britain would host the summit for the first time since Margaret Thatcher welcomed NATO leaders at the end of the cold war in 1990.

From BBC: “There will be as many as 60 heads of state and government coming to this important Nato conference, it will be the first time since 1990 that the United Kingdom has hosted this conference – the most important defence alliance that we have,” he [Prime Minister David Cameron] said.
“I’m delighted we’re going to be doing it right here in Wales. I think it will be an excellent opportunity to showcase the best of what modern Wales has to offer the whole world.
“It’ll be good for jobs, it’ll be good for investment, it’ll be good for business. It’ll be a great advertisement for the success that Wales and the Welsh economy is.”
