International commission starts to investigate Kyrgyz interethnic clashes

Thousands tried to flee ethnic violence in Kyrgyzstan.

From Interfax:  An international commission has started to investigate interethnic clashes in southern Kyrgyzstan, which killed over 400 people in June 2010.

The commission aims to find out the causes of the outbreak of violence, commission head, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative for Central Asia Kimmo Kiljunen said at a Monday press conference. …
