From Interfax: “This is a matter of bilateral relations between the Untied States and Poland,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a Friday press conference responding to an Interfax request to comment on the deployment of Patriots in the immediate vicinity of the Russian border.

“Apparently there are reasons why they will be deployed in that particular place. By the way, I do not have full information to this end but if it is true, the question arises why anything should be done to create the impression that Poland is being fortified against Russia. This is not clear to me and we expect to receive explanations, of course, and will then analyze the situation,” he said. (photo: EPA)
