From Reuters: NATO will hold a meeting on December 7 to raise forces for Afghanistan, in the expectation that President Barack Obama will have laid out his plans for U.S. troop levels by then, alliance officials said on Monday.

The meeting of countries contributing to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan will follow a December 2-3 gathering of NATO foreign ministers.

Obama has yet to say when he will announce his plans for U.S. troop levels and strategy for Afghanistan, but NATO said last week it was confident he would do so before the conference to generate more troops for the conflict. (photo: NATO)
