From Pierre Tran, Defense News: NATO has appointed Patrick Auroy to one of the six assistant secretary-general posts in the alliance headquarters, where he will be responsible for defense investments, Laurent Teisseire, spokesman for the French Ministry of Defense, said on Sept. 2.
The selection of Auroy was done in open competition and was not on the basis of the national selection, Teisseire told journalists.
Auroy is the deputy director of the Direction Générale pour l’Armement (DGA), second to the French defense procurement agency’s director, Laurent Collet-Billon. (photo: Center for Strategic Decision Research)
