From NATO:  Over the past 24 hours, NATO has conducted the following activities associated with Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR :

Air Operations
Since the beginning of the NATO operation (31 March 2011, 08.00GMT) a total of 4886 sorties, including 1980 strike sorties* have been conducted.

*Strike sorties are intended to identify and engage appropriate targets, but do not necessarily deploy munitions each time.

Key Targets and Engagements**
02 May: In the vicinity of Misurata: 12 Ammunition Storages, 3 Self-Propelled Artillery Pieces. In the vicinity of Sirte: 2 Armoured Personnel Carriers. In the vicinity of Ras Lanuf: 1 Multiple Rocket Launcher. In the vicinity of Brega: 1 Truck-Mounted Gun, 3 Multiple Rocket Launchers. In the vicinity of Zintan: 1 Ammunition Storage.

Arms Embargo Activities
A total of 19 ships under NATO command are actively patrolling the Central Mediterranean.
6 Vessels were hailed on 02 May to determine destination and cargo. 1 boarding (no diversion) was conducted.
A total of 757 vessels have been hailed, 26 boardings and 5 diversions have been conducted since the beginning of arms embargo operations.
