From NATO:  Over the past 24 hours, NATO has conducted the following activities associated with Operation UNIFIED PROTECTOR:

Air Operations
Since the beginning of the NATO operation (31 March 2011, 08.00GMT) a total of 5361 sorties, including 2148 strike sorties* have been conducted.

Strike sorties conducted 05 May: 57

*Strike sorties are intended to identify and engage appropriate targets, but do not necessarily deploy munitions each time.

Key Targets hit
05 May: In the vicinity of Zintan: 9 Ammunition Storages, 3 Tanks, 2 Armoured Fighting Vehicles, 2 Rocket Launchers, 2 Truck-Mounted Guns, 1 Resupply Facility. In the vicinity of Sirte: 8 Ammunition Storages. In the vicinity of Brega: 3 Rocket Launchers. In the vicinity of Mizdah: 3 Ammunition Storages. In the vicinity of Misurata: 1 Tank. In the vicinity of Ras Lanuf: 1 Communications Facility.

Arms Embargo Activities
A total of 20 ships under NATO command are actively patrolling the Central Mediterranean.
23 Vessels were hailed on 05 May to determine destination and cargo. 1 boarding (no diversion) was conducted.
A total of 824 vessels have been hailed,31 boardings and 5 diversions have been conducted since the beginning of arms embargo operations.
