On February 1, the Atlantic Council hosted a private strategy session with the Undersecretary of State from the Polish Ministry of National Defense, Tomasz Szatkowski.
Pushing for stronger US and European defense cooperation, Poland, the host of the upcoming NATO Warsaw Summit, has already begun ushering in significant changes to its military spending, acquisition strategy, and defense industry. In light of these developments, Tomasz Szatkowski, who is responsible for the Ministry’s defense policy planning, joined us to discuss Poland’s evolving defense policies and other critical security challenges on the road to the Warsaw Summit. The event was part of the Scowcroft Center’s NATO Forum, which serves as the Euro-Atlantic community’s premier venue for discussion on transatlantic security dynamics and the future of the Alliance and amidst a rapidly changing global landscape.
