In January 2013, members of the India-Pakistan Track II Military-to-Military Dialogue met in Bangkok. The meeting consisted of three working groups, each of which focused on a key issue: Sir Creek, terrorism, and crisis stability control.

The reports from these working groups will be presented to the next full meeting of the Military Dialogue later this spring.

The India-Pakistan Track II Military-to-Military Dialogue is co-chaired by General Jehangir Karamat (Pakistan Army, retired) and Air Chief Marshal Shashi Tyagi (Indian Air Force, retired). These discussions are undertaken as part of a project on conventional confidence-building, which is jointly organized by the Council’s South Asia Center and the University of Ottawa, and is supported by the Near East and South Asia Centre for Strategic Studies and the United States Institute of Peace.
