Strategy Session with Rep. Robert Pittenger on Global Security

On Friday, January 9th, the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security welcomed Representative Robert Pittenger (R-NC9), Chairman of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, for a strategy session to discuss the future of global security and Congressional priorities on these matters. 

Challenges abound ranging from the need for better intelligence capabilities to threats from extremism and Russia’s challenge to Europe. How the United States deals with these and other challenges has significant impact on the future of global security. The United States will need Congressional leadership to navigate the tumultuous global context. Representative Pittenger joined the Council to discuss how he could help with these matters.
