On March 25, 2013, the Transatlantic Relations Program hosted the leadership of the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA) for an off-the-record discussion with a group of Atlantic Council staff and representatives. ATA President Karl Lamers provided remarks to kick off a conversation on issues of common concern for the transatlantic partners including the future of NATO, US/European relations with Iran, and cyber security.

The ATA also met separately with experts from the Council’s Hariri and Ansari Centers to discuss the transatlantic community’s relationship with the MENA region and Africa.

The Atlantic Treaty Association serves as an umbrella organization for nearly 40 Atlantic Councils in countries all over Europe and North America.
