With the Greek debt repayment deadline fast approaching, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras presented a new plan to stave off default today. EU leaders will meet on Thursday to discuss that proposal, setting up a possible resolution—or ultimate collapse—in the Greek saga.
Please join us for an exclusive private briefing on Greece on Thursday, June 25 at 9 a.m. EST with Professor Aristotle Tziampiris, Director of the Center for International and European Affairs at the University of Piraeus in Athens. Professor Tziampiris will provide an exclusive inside view from a Greek perspective, addressing questions such as:

  • Which outcomes do the Greek public deem possible and what are the political constraints on the government?
  • What is Greece’s feeling towards its own current government, its past promises, and the future of the country?
  • Can Tsipras fulfill his electoral mandate of ending austerity while also satisfying the creditors’ demands for reform to keep Greece in the Eurozone?

This conversation will be moderated by Dr. Andrea Montanino, former Executive Director for Greece at the IMF, and Director of the Global Business and Economics Program at the Atlantic Council.
