Afghanistan and US Security

Presented by

The Honorable James B. Cunningham
Senior Fellow and Khalilzad Chair, South Asia Center
Atlantic Council

It is the core purpose of the Atlantic Council to foster bipartisan support for policies that promote the security of the United States and the transatlantic community. US engagement in Afghanistan is at a pivotal moment.  Decisions made in Kabul and Washington, DC over the next months and years will determine the future of Afghanistan and impact regional stability and US security.  Please join us as Ambassador James Cunningham, Senior Fellow and Khalilzad Chair, moderates the presentation of a policy framework which registers a broad, bipartisan consensus in support of certain principles that more than twenty former senior officials and policy experts believe should guide policy on Afghanistan during the remainder of the Obama administration and the first year of a new administration, of whichever party.
