On Tuesday, January 20, at 3:00 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center will host a panel discussion to explore strategies for building the technical talent and adaptive institutions required to govern rapidly evolving artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
As AI capabilities accelerate, the gap between technological breakthroughs and the expertise required to deploy and govern them responsibly has become increasingly urgent. This discussion will examine how the United States and its partners and allies can strengthen their technical and governance expertise, anticipate critical capability inflection points, and build institutions that can adapt quickly to shifts in the AI landscape.
New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
