America's Role in the World

A discussion with
The Hon. Seth Moulton (D-MA)
Representative, 6th Congressional District
US House of Representatives

Moulton quickly established himself as a leading Democratic national security voice during his first year in Congress and continues to do so. Having served in Iraq with General David Petraeus, USA (Ret.), Moulton has a unique perspective about how the United States wields power in the world. During his address, Moulton will discuss a strategy for how the United States should act in an increasingly turbulent global environment. His remarks will be followed by a moderated discussion and an audience Q&A session.

Moulton served in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2008. He was in the first company of Marines to enter Baghdad in 2003, and in 2004 Moulton led a platoon during the Battle of Najaf. In 2005, and in the Surge of 2007, he worked on a small team of Marines leading counterinsurgency operations south of Baghdad. During this time he served as a Special Assistant to General Petraeus. In 2014, Moulton was elected to Congress where he currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Budget Committee, and the House Small Business Committee.
