In December 2024, after a thirteen-year civil war, the Assad regime fell, creating opportunities for political reform, democratization, and the rebuilding of a war-torn nation. Atlantic Council fellows Qutaiba Idlbi and Ömer Özkizilcik will discuss Syria’s next steps, power dynamics in the Middle East, and implications for US relations in the region. The event will allow time for an audience question and answer period.
