Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and the Voice of America have launched Current Time — an alternative Russian language network to the Moscow-controlled media and a reality check on disinformation. Known as “Настоящее Время” in Russian – a term that connotes “current,” “real,” and “true,” Current Time is a 24/7 network, providing Russian-speaking audiences in more than ten strategic countries with accurate and independent local, regional, and international news. Current Time connects Russian speakers with each other and the world, on digital platforms, social networks, satellite, and cable TV.

The Atlantic Council, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), and Voice of America (VOA) invite you to join us on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for a discussion about the new Russian language 24/7 digital TV network, Current Time – an alternative to Moscow-controlled media, at the Atlantic Council headquarters (1030 15th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC, 20005) for an official introduction to the network and a discussion of its impact and goals.
