Minster Hoxhaj will discuss Kosovo’s progress toward European integration, and the challenges it is likely to face moving forward with EU negotiations in 2014, and he will also address the state of Kosovo’s relationship with Serbia. In addition, he will share his thoughts on Kosovo’s evolving relationship with NATO and solicit your views on Kosovo’s potential path to Partnership for Peace. 
 
Minister Hoxhaj has been Kosovo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2011. He was heavily involved in the Kosovo independence negotiations from 2005 to 2007, serving as a member of the Kosovar delegation during the process led by UN Special Envoy, President Martti Ahtisaari. Previously, Minister Hoxhaj represented Kosovo as the Minister of Education, Science, and Technology.  As Head of the Commission for Education, Culture, and Youth in the Kosovo Assembly, he acted as a strong voice for issues relating to education, youth, and the modernization of Kosovo. He is also an established author on issues of ethnicity, nationalism, ethnic conflict, and identity, and has published academic papers in English, German, and Albanian.
