The international community stepped in to support Ukraine’s economy in 2014, following the Maidan Revolution. Last year, as part of a four-year bailout program, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to disperse $17.5 billion in funds, dependent on Ukraine’s ability to carry out energy sector, financial system, anti-corruption, and macroeconomic reforms. Recently, the IMF approved the long delayed one billion tranche – an important symbol of the international community’s continued support for Ukraine’s reform agenda. Minister Jaresko served as Ukraine’s minister of finance from December 2014 to April 2016, during the most critical time for Ukraine’s economic stability. Minister Jaresko will share her views on Ukraine’s economic situation, the role of the international community, and next steps for the incoming US administration.

The Atlantic Council and the US-Ukraine Business Council invite you to join us on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, 10:30-12:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Council Headquarters (1030 15th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC, 20005) for a discussion on Ukraine’s reform process.
