In the context of the inaugural US-Africa Leaders Summit, the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center is pleased to invite you to the launch of a new study about barriers to doing business in sub-Saharan Africa and how they can be overcome. Authored by Visiting Fellow Aubrey Hruby, the report argues that inadequate infrastructure, lack of market data, and poor policy implementation impede investment in Africa, despite growing opportunities to do so profitably. The publication also focuses on innovative solutions for surmounting such obstacles and how companies who have successfully entered African markets can provide lessons learned for future investors.
The discussion will provide a timely forum to discuss business in Africa, particularly in the immediate follow up to the first US–Africa Business Forum, one of the key Summit events which will take place the day before.
