From Tuesday, September 22nd to Wednesday, September 23rd, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, the Atlantic Council Nuclear Energy Policy Initiative will host its third annual Nuclear Energy Policy Summit.
The 2026 Nuclear Energy Policy Summit will survey dramatic changes in the domestic and global nuclear energy policy landscapes over the last year. The Summit will address novel partnerships in the public and private sectors that will be crucial to funding and implementing new nuclear projects; the efforts of first-mover US states to deploy next-generation nuclear technologies; the role of nuclear energy in meeting increased global energy demand; and the nexus between domestic nuclear energy deployment and a robust civil nuclear export program.
