To achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, a fundamental transformation of the energy sector toward more efficient, more urgency and ambition to shift to lower-carbon systems is needed. Electricity is the fastest growing energy subsector and developing countries are expected to account for the majority of global electricity demand growth over the next twenty-five years.  In addition, 1.1 billion people, largely in South Asia and Africa, still lack access to electricity.  Based on these challenges, Dr. Ichord will lead an effort to address the challenges to creating a conducive environment for augmenting investment in sustainable energy.  Join us for the launch of Dr. Ichord's strategy and a discussion with leading experts and policy makers on this timely and important issue.
