Please join the Atlantic Council's EuroGrowth Initiative and SIFMA on Monday, July 18, at 1 p.m. for a lunch conversation with Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice President of the European Commission, who will address how the European Union will shape rules and regulations for resilient financial markets and outline the priorities for regulatory cooperation with the United States.
Vice President Dombrovskis has taken over the portfolio of Financial Stability, Financial Services, and Capital Markets Union in addition to his own responsibilities as Vice President, Euro & Social Dialogue. This event will be the first public address of the Vice President in the United States in his new double capacity.
Given his double portfolio, Vice President Dombrovskis will be uniquely positioned to answer questions such as: What steps is the European Union taking to make their financial markets more resilient? What progress has been made with regards to the planned Capital Markets Union?
