Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to invite you to the next meeting of the Libya Working Group to discuss the latest developments in Libya and our agenda moving forward.

In light of growing conflict and partisan entrenchment in the country, as well as the realities of a limited international presence in Libya, I recently published a memo on policy options for the international community. We hope to use this to spark a discussion and we will be joined by the State Department’s Special Coordinator for Libya Jonathan Winer, who will comment on the recommendations and offer insight into the US government’s perspective on the current situation.

The roundtable will also be an opportunity to explore what initiatives the Libya Working Group would like to pursue in an effort to elevate the discussion and move the needle on Libya policy as the situation grows dire.

Date: Thursday, September 11, 2014
Time: 2 pm – 3:30 pm
Place: Atlantic Council, 1030 15th Street NW, 12th Floor

Please RSVP to Lara Talverdian (ltalverdian@atlanticcouncil.org) by Wednesday, September 10 if you plan to attend.

Kind regards,
Karim
