A Conversation with the Chairs of Mexico’s Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) & the United States’ Democratic Party
Join us for a discussion with two of the most important political leaders in North America. The Honorable Dr. César Camacho, president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) of Mexico, and the Honorable Debbie Wasserman Schultz, US Representative of Florida’s twenty-third congressional district and chair of the Democratic National Committee, will engage in a dialogue on electoral transformation in the United States and Mexico in an age of unprecedented communication. As major party leaders at critical times in their respective countries, each will give insight from their experiences promoting transparency and integrating minorities and women into the national political process.
Dr. Camacho comes to the United States on the cusp of important political and economic reforms in Mexico and at a turning point for the PRI, the country’s ruling party. Rep. Wasserman Schultz will give her vision of electoral inclusion and achieving objectives in an age of political gridlock. This informative discussion will highlight differences and similarities in managing the priorities and challenges of two of the Western Hemisphere’s largest political parties.
