President Barack Obama will address the nation Tuesday, January 28, 2014 with his upcoming "year of action" in his fifth State of the Union address. Obama is anticipated to lay out an ambitious domestic policy agenda and provide a glimpse into his foreign policy priorities for 2014. His recent overtures on NSA surveillance, the ongoing war in Syria, and breakthrough on US-Iran relations have been making headlines, but do not presuppose a mention in his address. To discuss the foreign policy implications and potential surprises in the president's speech, Atlantic Council experts will share their analysis in a members’ conference call with Executive Vice President Damon Wilson, Vice President and Director of the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security Barry Pavel, and Nonresident Senior Fellow of the South Asia Center  Barbara Slavin. Additional experts to be announced.

Join us in our discussion of the president’s foreign policy priorities for 2014. The event will be on-the-record and time will be made for questions and answers.
