Join us for a conversation with author Mathew Burrows about his new book, The Future, Declassified: Megatrends That Will Undo the World Unless We Take Action, detailing the long-term challenges faced by the United States and what actions the United States must take if we are to continue to prosper.

The program will be followed by a short reception where copies of the book will be available for sale.

Before joining the Atlantic Council in September 2013, Burrows was counselor to the National Intelligence Council, where he oversaw the Global Trends report, the key planning document for the White House, departments of State and Defense, and Homeland Security.

His book updates and expands the latest report into a full-length narrative, forecasting the tectonic shifts — including greater urbanization and growth of a global middle class, an eastward shift in economic power — that will shape the United States' trajectory.
