On Friday, October 10, Eurogroup President and Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem will give remarks on the state of eurozone recovery and the reform agenda awaiting the 18 governments of the euro-area currency in the wake of recent changes in the European Union’s political and economic leadership.

While the eurozone continues its rebound from financial crisis, many challenges still remain including jump starting job creation, coordinating deeper fiscal consolidation and cooperation, and continuing the implementation of structural reforms among member states. As President of the Eurogroup, the primary forum for discussion among the eurozone’s finance ministries, Mr. Dijsselbloem oversees the focal point for these deliberations, and is tasked with coordinating the political and economic policies necessary to boost the competitiveness and growth of the region.
