Please join the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center for a public event featuring Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs at the US Department of State Mr. Amos Hochstein on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Atlantic Council.

Hochstein oversees US foreign policy engagement in the critical intersection of energy and national security. In his role, he advises the secretary on global energy security and diplomacy.

Hochstein took his new position as a special envoy for the Bureau of Energy Resources at a critical time for the energy diplomacy efforts of the United States. The ongoing crisis in Ukraine has put the energy security issue on the agenda, which requires reinvigorated energy diplomacy efforts of the United States. The crisis has also reshaped the energy diplomacy priorities for the United States for 2015.

Hochstein will share his insights into the US energy diplomacy priorities for 2015. Ambassador Richard Morningstar, founding director, of the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center, will make the welcoming remarks and moderate the discussion.
