Austin Slater was an assistant director for media and communications with the N7 Initiative with Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs, where he worked to elevate and inform the public conversation around Arab-Israeli normalization efforts. Prior to joining the N7 Initiative, Slater led communications and advocacy for a workforce development nonprofit called Be Pro Be Proud, which works to change perceptions around technical career paths, formerly trade jobs. 

Slater is a graduate of the Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas where he specialized research and field work on emerging digital technology’s use as a tool of rural civic engagement and education. Slater received a BS in strategic communications from Arkansas State University.
