Chris Rawlings is a 2021-2022 Veterans Advanced Energy fellow at the Atlantic Council and the founder and chief energy officer of VLED, an energy services contractor headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. After five years of active duty as a Marine sergeant, two tours to Iraq, and ten years in aviation, Rawlings made the transition to entrepreneurship after attending Florida State University’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans in 2014.
Rawlings is the host of the Energy Sense Podcast, a certified energy manager under the Association of Energy Engineers, and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green associate under the US Green Building Council. Rawlings has been named a Top 40 Under 40 by Style Magazine and featured in outlets, including Forbes, Fox News, Virginia Business Magazine, and NBC, for his work surrounding indoor air quality, air purification, and the battle against COVID-19.
