Hamad Abbas was an assistant director in the Middle East Programs, where he was responsible for program support to the director and deputy director and contributing to the Center’s research efforts. Before joining the Atlantic Council, Hamad was an analyst with the MITRE Corporation, where he conducted counterterrorism research to benefit the U.S. Government. He also gained valuable experience in research and program support through various full-time and internship roles in public service.
Hamad is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Master in Security Studies Program, where he concentrated on counterterrorism and served as a columnist for the Georgetown Security Studies Review.
