Jessica Drun was a nonresident fellow in the Atlantic Council’s Global China Hub. She was previously a non-resident fellow at the Project 2049 Institute and a China analyst at SOS International’s Center for Intelligence Research and Analysis. She has also held positions at the National Bureau of Asian Research, the National Defense University, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.

Jessica specializes in cross-Strait relations, Taiwan domestic politics, and US-Taiwan relations and regularly provides commentary and analysis on these issues. She has been quoted in The New York TimesThe Guardian, BBC Chinese, and the Associated Press and her work has been published in Foreign Policy, the Jamestown Foundation’s China Brief, and the Diplomat. She graduated with an MA in Asian Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 2015 and an AB in International Affairs from the University of Georgia in 2011. She spent a year abroad in Taiwan as a 2014-15 Boren National Security Fellow. Jessica is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and conversational in Min Nan Chinese.
