John Waldron is chairman of the Atlantic Council’s International Advisory Board. Waldron is president and chief operating officer and a member of the Board of Directors of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. He is a member of the Goldman Sachs Management Committee, co-chair of the Firmwide Enterprise Risk Committee, and chair of the Firmwide Reputational Risk Committee.

Waldron is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of International Finance, the International Advisory Council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the

US-China Business Council, the International Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and the Aspen Economic Strategy Group.

In addition, Waldron is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Clinic, the Board of Directors of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Board of Trustees of Middlebury College, the Board of Trustees of Southern Methodist University, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Waldron graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Middlebury College with a BA in English.
