Luciano Bueno is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and the founder and chief executive officer of GALY, a deep tech company with a cellular agriculture platform that grows crops, such as cotton, in a way that is faster, more productive, and more resource efficient. Before founding GALY, Bueno gained expertise in consulting, auditing, startups, and venture capital, with a focus on e-commerce, global payments, retail, textiles, and agriculture. He also helped establish two innovative educational institutions in Brazil. Bueno holds an undergraduate degree in business, in addition to postgraduate studies in biotechnology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in owner/president management from Harvard Business School, and LBAN from Stanford Business School. Beyond business, he mentors young entrepreneurs and low-income students and volunteers for organizations such as the Red Cross. He is also a world traveler, former chess player, and extreme sports enthusiast.
