Mark Donig is a 2024 Millennium fellow and serves as the head of US strategy for Blue Laurel Advisors, a Middle East-based consulting firm. In leading Blue Laurel’s expansion into the United States, Donig directs the firm’s work advising US businesses, investors, and family offices across a wide variety of sectors on deal sourcing, market entry, and negotiations for business opportunities in the region. In addition, Donig serves as of counsel at Grossman Young & Hammond LLC, a US immigration law firm, where he advises individuals with humanitarian needs, with a specialization in working with individuals of extraordinary ability in their fields.
Donig sits on the board of the James Foley Memorial Foundation, which advocates on behalf of Americans wrongfully detained overseas. He previously worked as an international venture capital and corporate lawyer in Silicon Valley, New York City, and Washington, DC.
Donig holds a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law, an MA in diplomacy and government from Reichman University, and a BA in public policy from Stanford University. Donig is a two-time recipient (2017 and 2019) of the Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from the Office of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives for his humanitarian work.
