Nish Acharya is a nonresident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center. He also leads Equal Innovation, a global organization focused on transformative change and impact through innovation and entrepreneurship. Equal Innovation is one of the largest intermediaries for impact organizations to connect with policymakers, funders, and corporations. Acharya is also a contributor to Forbes and author of, “The India-US Partnership: $1 Trillion By 2030” by Oxford University Press.

Acharya previously served as director of innovation and entrepreneurship and senior advisor to the secretary of commerce for the Obama administration, as executive director of the Deshpande Foundation (a US philanthropy focused on innovation and entrepreneurship), as a senior fellow with the Center for American Progress, and in the Clinton administration. He was also previously a senior fellow with the Clinton Foundation. He has been quoted prominently worldwide in outlets such as the New York Times, Economist, Newsweek, Economic Times, India Today, BBC, Bloomberg, and New Delhi Television (NDTV).
