Sabrina Nagel is the senior advisor for global policy and finance for the adaptation policy and finance pillar of the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht–Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center (Arsht-Rock). She advances work on global financial policy and private-sector mobilization. In addition to her role at Arsht-Rock, Nagel is the adaptation and resilience finance lead of the Climate Champions Team, the supporting body of the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions.
Before joining Arsht-Rock, Nagel worked extensively on adaptation and resilience finance. Most recently, she worked with YAPU Solutions, which was recognized as a “top innovator” for the open innovation platform of the World Economic Forum. Before that, Nagel was a coordinator for Scale for Resilience, which is part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s Race to Resilience campaign. Nagel also played pivotal roles in developing the Scale for Resilience initiative and the Women in Resilience Finance mentorship program. Nagel has also supported ground-level communications and implementation for nature-based solutions projects in Borneo and Costa Rica with Fariventures Worldwide and the International Analog Forestry Network.
Nagel’s work on adaptation finance has been featured in significant reports, including with the Global Center on Adaptation, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and United Nations High-Level Climate Champions.
Nagel received her Bachelor of Science in communication and media studies from the University of Hohenheim in 2016.
